OBDLink MX+ Bluetooth diagnostic interface with Tesla diagnostic adapter. Tesla cars don't have a combustion engine and therefore aren't covered by EOBD or OBD-II diagnostics legislation or required to have a standard 16-pin diagnostic port fitted. This special adapter cable can be fitted to the Tesla CAN-bus to provide a 16-pin diagnostic port allowing access to detailed Tesla information. Designed to stay permanently inside the Tesla Model 3 / Model Y once installed. Suitable for Tesla Model 3 and Model Y vehicles produced after 01/2019 and up to 2021 Recommended for use with the following smartphone apps (purchased separately): ScanMyTesla TM-SPY This package includes an OBDLink MX+ Bluetooth diagnostic interface which is the recommended adapter for these apps. The Model 3 Port is located at the rear of the centre console and accessible from the rear footwell. Please ensure your car's connectors match the image shown below for the 2019 onwards Tesla connector. This adapter cable will not connect to pre-2019 models with the older connector type. The adapter cable installation requires a complete shutdown of the car before connecting the cable to the car's loom. The shut down takes 15 minutes to complete and is performed from the screen within the vehicle. Therefore at least 30-40 minutes should be allowed to complete the installation process. For a deinstallation/removal of the adapter cable the same time should be budgeted. During the installation period no remote access to the car is allowed. Failure to shut down the car before inserting the cable into the loom may damage your vehicle and or cause faults. Connecting equipment to your Tesla is done entirely at your own risk. We cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to your vehicle through incorrect use of this product. |
