Purchased this product to read and clear fault codes appearing on my 2011 passat. Got 2 fault codes and more importantly this will reset and get my car out of limp home mode.
Great service from Gendan, excellent communications, next day delivery which was early in the morning and contacted prior with a 1hr time slot.
Does seem like a lot of money, but with free software upgrades I see it as an investment, and I loath paying dealers x amount of pounds just to read a fault code!
Highly recommended.

had tool a few weeks before trying on audi a1 2012 went straight into car found fault straight away job sorted 2011 plate vw golf plus found injector no 1 fault changed part had to get security code no problem with this tool had to input new injector code in job done would recomend this tool even if you have other tools can be good money maker for instance vw quoted 1.285 plus vat for injector job paid for itself on this job alone get one get it from gendan

Bought this mainly for working on Bentleys.
I already have a VAS lead (copy) which can be a bit flaky at times.
This goes straight in and allows you to get into all the systems that I have tried so far.
I would also recommend Gendan as your supplier. Helpful, knowledgeable and super fast delivery for free.

I was in two minds whether to buy the Full or Lite version, but so glad I went for the Full, Had Issues with my Audi A3 Roof, that was quickly sorted with the product, then Work Colleague Peugeot had engine light appear, again a quick plug in and saw that the Throttle Position Sensor had failed, then this week Wifes Car would not start, and again used the equipment to see that the Water Temp Sensor was reading incorrect values, so already the Lead & Software has paid for itself... Cannot Recommend you guys enough, and the Emails are Fantastic !!!

I'd never heard of Gendan before I purchased this and I'm glad I tried them out. Good service and quick delivery with lots of communication along the way.
VCDS has proven invaluable in fault finding on my Passat and it makes carrying out work so much easier. Plus the moment you tell anyone you have a full VCDS they all want to be your friend and offer you tea and bacon to come and find problems with their cars.
Worth it for that alone.

Absolutely fantastic piece of kit! Brought another Audi 3 months ago which is my 3rd car in the VAG group in succession so thought it would come in handy, and boy have I been right! Ordered on a Tuesday, 24 hours later it was on my doorstep. So I decided to run an autoscan of my car, thought at least I would have a base guide to work from. Loan behold it finds 2 faults straight off the bat! An electrical fault in passenger exterior mirror (little did I know the mirror was not getting hot in slightest) and also an issue with the Haldex 4 wheel drive system where the clutch pump (V181) had failed. Suffice to say the very next morning I called Audi and had it booked in to be fixed under warrenty. Out of curiosity I did some digging to find out how much it would of cost if not picked up by VCDS and repaired out of Warrenty by Audi - £610 for the 4 wheel drive system and another £289 for the wing mirror!!!! This thing made its money the very first hour of me owning it! For anyone with a VAG group car is an absolute must!!! This piece of kit is a real gem and you will NOT be disappointed! Really easy to use (I also changed my lights from tourist mode back to uk mode) an you never know it may just end up saving you a real packet like it did for me! As for the service from Gendan = Top notch - from order to dispatch was around 2 hours! Real quick and on my door very next day... A++++ all round!

I purchased this VCDS unit for my 56 plate Audi Allroad at the reccommendation of Chris at VW Audi Forum.
It is a complicated beast and tales of cost over runs are woeful.
I originally wanted to fit LED rear lights but were told by an auto electrician that it was going to cost around £800.00 or more to do this.
With the support of Gendan and the VW Audi support group I did it for the cost of the VCDS unit.
Also handy to look at the diagnostics of the car before it goes into the garage for a service etc. When told of the various faults the car has ...... you can say before I brought the car in this morning it had no faults!
Audi did a repair on the rear left window and accidentally knocked off a speaker wire. I did not know or notice they had done this but the VCDS unit did so I rang them and said the stereo did not seem quite right ........... so I took it back in and sure enough they said they had accidentally knocked the wire off and had refitted it.
Just recently the car did not seem to be going as well as it should so I plugged it and fixed all faults and it is back to running like a clock.
It diagnosed a throttle body fault at VW when their unit would not.

Fantastic piece of hardware/software, very easy to use and invaluable even for fairly basic operations let alone all the complex stuff it can do. Found that my A6 V6 TDI had 3 glowplugs out and it even told me which ones. Also fairly intuitive once you get your head around it. Dont be ripped off at main dealers or even independents with this tool, diagnose it yourself and then decide who to let fix it if you are not competent or confident.
Also, many thanks to Gendan for the very quick delivery over the Christmas period.

Highly recommended. In many cases you will stand very little chance of figuring out what is wrong with a modern car without a diagnostic tool such as this. You can even use it to interrogate a car for faults before and shortly after purchasing. You are paying for an interface cable which is coded to allow you to use the Ross VCDS software which has had many years of development. This kit will do as much or more than much more expensive equipment. There is plenty of help available via forums etc for users. Phoned Gendan a couple of times for their advice before buying. Placed order before 16:00hrs and received it next morning.

Excellent service delivered as promised within 24 hours.
It is nice in this day and age of poor service to find a company that delivers as it promises and with no extra charges.
I have been looking to purchase this for a while and was let down by another VCDS supplier, so thought about going down the Fleabay route, but Gendan have restored my faith and I am glad I bought the genuine lead.

I bought it few days ago and Im very satisfied from purchase.
Finally I could do this what dealer wasnt able to do with their expensive tools.
Thanks to this interface I can do nearly everything what is possible to program in my VW modules.
Using VCDS from Ross Tech is simple despite some description missing of some bits in modules Its worth to buy for this price.
If you know what you doing and own a VAG car this is another must have tool which will save you lots of time wasted dealing with sometimes not user friendly dealer service and occasionally might save you some money in the way you might never notice.
Using VCDS is easy and safe despite that you need any pc or laptop. I was using my laptop and couple of times battery just go flat and it just switch off without warning and best thing is, that nothing happened to car and no errors comes up.
Really for me this is very good purchase and I should buy this before I bought much more expensive tool (nearly 1400 £)

i ordered vcds on friday afternoon and it came monday. it was easy to set up,clear instructions came with it and you can register for support too on the ross tech web site. i had wanted vcds for ages and am really glad i finally bought it, ive only done a full scan as yet but know it will be a great asset when i need it in the future. i say treat yourself and buy it you wont regret it

Very fast delivery, next day so no issues there. Cant argue with the fact that its an extremely useful extra tool to have. Whilst it might seem to be initially quite pricey (AFAIK you cannot get it substantially cheaper anywhere else), when you consider not only what a main dealer will charge, but also the travelling time to visit a garage etc, it cuts out a lot of that hassle, as long as you know what you're doing with it, and you use a little common sense. Have already used mine to perform a few scans and clear the service indicator. Also hoping to get my money back through doing scans for others. Havent used everything on it yet, but give me time......

Ordered this after 3pm and got it the next day! Its well worth the money! My local VW specialist charge £45 just to read the fault codes and i have already used it 4 times so it wont be long before it pays for itself! Ive found several faults with my 2 cars and they are now sorted! No more warning lights on the dashboard!

Wasnt sure whether to buy this as all I have is Macs running windows through VM Fusion. Need not have worried as the software and interface lead work perfectly. Much better than the generic diagnostic tool I had before as there is much more info on the fault codes detailed.

I was unsure which Ross-Tech VCDS would be suitable for my needs so I sent an email for a bit more information. I couldnt believe how quick I got a reply (within 10 minutes). I purchased the VCDS (VAG-COM) HEX-USB+CAN Interface Package on the 28.5.13 at 16:25 and I received it by next day courier at no extra charge at 10am. Now thats what I call great service, and superfast delivery. This kit is well worth the money when you weigh up how much Volkswagen charge for diagnostics in excess of £80. And you also get free updates and support after registering product.

I ordered this at half 2 on Wednesday, and recieved it at 10am the next morning!. I have read so many reviews about this product online, I decided to bite the bullet and get one. It seems a little expensive, but is a truely amazing bit of kit, its not locked to one vehicle (as many are), and offers free updates. For the amount garages can charge just to tell you whats wrong, it will easily pay for itself over a few years, and with all the other tweeks it will allow you to do, it is a great bit of kit to own.

I ordered this on Monday at 4pm, it arrived the next morning just before 9, i then downloaded the software direct from ross tech and used it on my A6, absolutely brilliant bit of kit and a must have for the vag owner. So easy to use and cant wait to learn more of what else it does.

I ordered this Friday with next day delivery and it came on Saturday, I am very happy with Gendan service not only were they the cheapest in the UK but very helpful.
I setup the VCDS software as soon as it arrived and I went straight out to my VW Golf Mk5 and everything I wanted to do was done with ease from activating additional features to changing my steering wheel to a multi-function one and re calibrating the steering sensor A++++

This is a great bit of kit. Only had it just over a week but well worth the money. Can look at all systems in the car and look for any fault codes. You can also change some settings within the systems. I have changed how the central locking works with out any problems.

We purchased this tool a month ago as a fall back when our far more expensive machine made by B**** fails as has to be sent away for repair. We are a busy workshop and its used many times throughout a day. The lads who use this tool prefer it to the professional machine we have and as yet have not found an application that we cannot complete. Very impressed with the delivery, ease of installation, instructions and support.

Fantastic product quick delivery. Please learn by my mistake. I was foolish enough to try one of those Chinese leads sold on ebay. Dont buy them. Screwed up my Intrument control codes for no reason. Anyway, decided to bite the bullet and buy the right tool!! plugged it in and it does everything it says on the tin! Wish I hadnt wasted my money on imitations...

Bought this product back in December and it has proved to be a worth every penny. Saved me time and money been able to fault find and sort out any problems found, quite easy to use and install on to your laptop, and gives you the electronic control over your car, so dont be afraid to buy and learn your self.

The VCDS is a great bit of kit. Takes a while to learn how to operate it competently but the VCDS website really helps and there is always google - someone will have already had the same problem and will have the answers you need. Mine paid for itself within a few weeks (fault diagnosis, service resets, transmitter programming and mileage checking - just for starters!)
