MultiECUScan software licence renewal Multiplexed package (for Fiat & Alfa Romeo cars)

This product is a 12 month licence renewal for the MultiECUScan Multiplexed package.

Please note this product is NOT the full package for new users. It is a software licence renewal for existing Multiplex package owners whose 12 month licence has expired. It will re-activate your package and allow you to download future software updates for a further 12 months.

This update is for the Multiplexed package only. If you require a licence renewal for the standard multi-cable package, please purchase a standard licence key here.

Please note: Software license sales are processed manually. Orders placed after 5pm on a weekday, or during weekends & bank holidays are unlikely to be processed until the morning of the next working day.
The MultiECUScan software package supports fault code reading (and clearing) and live sensor data from controllers such as Engine, Automatic Transmission, Airbag, ABS and Electric Power Steering.

Finally you can look after Fiat-based cars at home or in the workshop without needing to visit the dealer!

Coverage includes 1999 to 2017** petrol and diesel models (cars must have a 16-pin diagnostic socket fitted to be compatible with this package).

** Important - 2018+ model year coverage **

Please note - many Fiat group vehicles from the 2018 model year onwards (sold since mid-2017) , have a "Security GateWay" Module (SGW) fitted. The SGW module limits diagnostic communication to read-only access, unless the tool can obtain a session-specific access code from Fiat group's servers (which requires an expensive subscription).
This limitation blocks tools from executing commands on the vehicle (e.g. actuations, procedures and even clearing of DTCs).

First generation SGW modules can generally be simply bypassed, by unplugging the SGW from the car, and connecting an SGW Bypass Adaptor in its place.

However, a second generation SGW is now being fitted to some models (e.g. Fiat 500e 2020-on, Fiat Ducato x290 MCA approx. 2022-on). The 2nd gen units are integrated into the Body Control Module, and so cannot be practically bypassed. See our SGW help article for more information.

What do I need to use the package?

  • MultiECUScan Multiplexed diagnostic package
  • A laptop or PC running Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 with a USB port
    (Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 may still work, but are no longer supported by Microsoft and so we cannot offer support on them if we suspect the O/S to be the cause of any problems)
  • Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 SP1 or newer. (Free to download from www.microsoft.com if not already installed).
    For Windows 8.1 & 10, Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 or higher is required. This may not be installed by default.
    To install, go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Turn Windows features on or off, and install .NET Framework 3.5.
  • 1.5GHz CPU or higher
  • 2GB RAM (4GB or higher recommended)

What about updates?

As with the original licence, this renewal key entitles you to 12 months of free updates from the date of registration.
At the end of the 12 months, the version currently installed will not time out - you can continue to use it.
If you wish to continue updating the software, just purchase another licence renewal for a further 12 months of updates.

Return of product

Please note this product is a software activation licence.
In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with the software, we cannot offer a refund once your licence key has been issued.

 

Software updates

Software updates are free for the first 12 months from the date of licence renewal.

To update your software just download the installer from www.multiecuscan.net when a new version is released, and install it over the top of your existing installation - this will preserve the activation details.

Once the 12 months have elapsed, the software will not "time out" - it will continue to work with the currently installed version.
If you wish to download further updates from this point forward though, you would need to purchase another 12 month licence renewal.
